Default Shanks on Lemaire (Getting Vork's goat)

I can just see Vork's response to this praise of Lemaire, the former holding the latter in such high regard.

I think West did an excellent job. Shanks, as usual, is blindfolded by his own bias and is too proud to admit error. How come Shank's doesnt recognize Altmann's views on the matter?
