On April 14th, Hovind's Adventureland was searched by agents of the IRS, it appears, according to this thread here

There has been no news articles relating to this yet, though it sounds like one will appear in the Pensacola News-Journal today or this weekend.

If you don't want to give the far-far-righters any hits, the gist is that it appears that the ranch was searched by agents of the IRS, probably relating to past tax evasion charges. The thread is good for some entertainment, with a guest appearance by Splifford the bat, around post #240. Be warned, there is some serious Hovind fawning going on by a couple of posters...as well as a large amount of anti-IRS paranoia.

The thread has a certain amusment value, especally when they start snapping at each other. That Jael is a trip!

Actually, I would sorta miss Dr? Dino if he were put out of businass. He's too much fun to watch. O'course the serenade of outraged howls of his lock-step followers might make up for it.

An article is up in the Pensacola paper. The Internal revenue people just don't know what laws apply: Kent's lawyer says

Hmph. Other churches seem to deal with the IRS with little hassle. Could it be that they just have better accountants with more sets of books than Hovind?

Perhaps he'll go the route of Jim Bakker, he of PTL fame.
