Dunno if this goez here but feel free to move it.
My christian roomate told me that egyptian chariots and other weapons have been founf at the bottom ot the red sea. I don't know if this is true or not. Can anyone verify it? |

If there are, I wouldn't see it as evidence for the parting of the red sea or anything. There are cars in the middle of lakes and such.

It is a creationist myth started by/repeated by the likes of Ron Wyatt and Kent Hovind to try to "prove" that Moses parted the Red Sea and it closed in over the Egyptians who were chasing them.

The OT myth has Moses parting a bay/inlet on the northern Mediterranean coast of Egypt called "the Sea of Reeds." The Red Sea makes no appearance in the original Jewish OT texts concerning the Exodus.
If people are looking for submerged Egyptian chariots as proof of the OT, they are looking in the wrong body of water. |
