If you read what I originally wrote, it was nothing to do with whether or not you thought that islam was the only true religion. It was to do with whether you thought that yours was the only true or authentic form of islam, that enabled you to judge whether Mullah Omar was a true muslim or not. You may think that the Taleban are deluded, but they believe that their form of islam is the authentic one and that therefore you would be defective as a muslim.

It's all very well claiming that all answers are in the koran, but muslims do not agree on its interpretation any more than xians do over the interpretation of the bible.

Internet Infidels Discussion Forum
Statement of Purpose

The Internet Infidels Discussion Forum is operated by the Internet Infidels Inc., a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to defending and promoting a naturalistic worldview on the Internet. The Discussion Forum supports this goal.

A goal of equal importance is to foster a sense of community among nontheists and to explore any common ground that we might share with theists, whether political, social or philosophical in nature. We also aim to provide helpful references, ideas, and moral support for those struggling with particularly weighty questions or problems in their daily lives.

We believe that the best way to pursue those goals is to provide a forum that values fairness, civility, tolerance and objectivity in debate. The Administration and the Moderators are committed, therefore, to uphold the rules and to provide impartial and fair management for all, nontheists and theists alike.

For more detail on the the mission of the Internet Infidels, Inc., please refer to "Defining Our Mission" by Richard Carrier.

Also, please visit the Internet Infidels' main site, the Secular Web
I'm posting this here because it seems some users have either forgotten or are ignoring the purpose of IIDB. Name-calling, baiting, harassing and calling into question the motives of other posters is not only in opposition to the IIDB purpose, but it is strictly against the rules. Also worth mentioning, it doesn't do a single thing to advance one's POV. Please keep this in mind. No one likes to edit posts.
