A New History of Early Christianity (or via: amazon.co.uk)

Freeman is a well known scholar of ancient Greece and Rome, and is also the author of The Closing of the Western Mind: The Rise of Faith and the Fall of Reason (or via: amazon.co.uk), which argues that Christianity replaced classical philosophy and rationality with faith. The one reviewer of the New History gives it good marks for fairness.
