Hey Kimber! How's it going?
Thing 1's bday is a week from today. He's driving us nuts with his lack of a wish list. * will have to get creative. Thing 1 has also volunteered to escort his doddering old mom to the nanowrimo TGIO party in SF on Friday. I hope he enjoys it, cuz I'm probably going to stay til the bitter end. |

Venting alert:
Too many bad things in my life are coming to a head right now. My dumbass sister is not, as it turns out, only homeless in my city, but is also five months pregnant. And her two kids are going to be taken by social services next week if my mom or I don't take them. My mom's health won't allow her to take a baby and a two-year-old; I'm a full-time volunteer. I can't pay for daycare and they're not old enough to come to work with me. I don't know what to do. I find out on Monday whether I have cancer. Probably not, but still, dammit. I hate waiting. I lose my driver's licence on Tuesday if I haven't turned in a notarized statement to the DMV outlining my payment plan to the insurance agency of the other people involved in that car accident. The insurance company hasn't finished processing the claim yet, and the claims processor's supervisor hasn't returned my phone call. I don't know what to do. I don't know how I'll get to work if I can't drive. My friends all work; it's not like I have someone who can drive me. My house is not on the bus line. My unnerving housemate has been moved out of the house by my landlord, but he hasn't actually left yet and shows no signs of going away. I am presently sleeping with a chair propped under my doorknob. I want a drink so fucking bad right now. Yes, I know going on an alcoholic bender would only make it worse. But seriously...gahh. Fuck. |

No. My mother, my stepfather and I are really the only functioning adults in my family. Everyone else is either fucked-up or mentally ill. Or both.
