it's simple: since the priest, like so many others, tell people of their congregation that jesus lived or better yet, is alive and well...prove it. any priest can be sued for proof...it just so happens this priest was the lucky one.
how hard was that to understand thru your clouded christian mind? i'm willing to bet the chrisitians are shitting their drawers about this. finally show some legal proof that what you preach is true. in other words: put up or shut up. |

This is perhaps one of the most quintessentially American things I have ever heard of.
Unbelievable. |

Concerning the implications of religious impact and freedom of religion - specifically, I think, the lawsuit is also challenging that the church is preaching a dangerous message to the Italian people, that either they believe this nonesense or you will go to hell. If the Church can't back that up, sounds like a false claim to me.
On the Jesus issue, he's responding to the remarks that the bishop made to him about his book on Jesus. It's unfortunate that his theory seems so ludicrous that I don't think he'll have a case on this part of the lawsuit. However, if he wins the first...imagine the implication for all religions - no more hell-preaching. |
