If being banned from a BB equates to being killed in the real world for religious intolerance, I would be dead by now . The irony is that I would be shot by Christians for being Christian

As far as I know, the rule it violated was the rule that was put in place after the thread started -- a rule that is gone now, I think.
But if you start another thread to replace one that's been deleted, it will be deleted, too, even if the rule against it no longer exists, right?

I'm on around page 100 by now but enjoying the discourse with Jehanne.

I can sympathize with Dawkins in a way and I understand what he is arguing against (fundamentalism) but it doesn't make him correct...

Fundamentalism and unreasonable distaste (and hatred in any form or source) is unacceptable in any form...

Back to reading Dawkins
I've been reading Dawkins, too. I'm about 2/3 the way through right now. I'll probably wait until I finish to read your review, but maybe I'll change my mind in the morning.

Why not just voluntarily absent oneself?

I'm up to page 116... I love GRD but I like knock down, drag out fights on occasion...

I think when I'm done reading it I'll start a thread along the lines of "Dawkins is a moron" or something

jk.

The book has a few good points but it's clear that Dawkins' understanding of theology is elementary at best...

Some people need help absenting themselves, even if it's voluntary.
