Default Question...

It is: What do the questions we ask about God tell us about ourselves?

Areas of discussion: curiosity, religious segragation, desire to know

I dont ask any questions about god, for my part, I'll need examples before I can consider a response.

What do the questions I ask about God tell me about myself?

Question: "Where's the proof that God really exists?"

What it tells me about myself: "I can't believe that society deludes itself so eagerly."

It might help if you told us which of the twenty thousand or so gods humans have worshipped you are referring to.

People ask questions. Curiosity. Wonder. Philosophy.

Not everyone inquires about God. God can indeed make a philosophical issue, but some people actually ask questions about belief in God only, that is, about religion.

What does that tell us about ourselves?
Anthropologically? Sociologically? Psychologically?

The Opening Post seems frustratingly vague. If no further philosophical substance is added, this thread is doomed to be either locked or transfered.

Perhaps, philosophically, they say something about a culturally evolving ontological imagination.

I never think about gods unless the god squad is trying to make yet another natural human function illegal.
Only disillusioned minds fill their emptiness with hopes of supernatural saviours. Tragic really.
