Pirates smell bad, have terrible teeth, and risk decapitation by cannonbal at the slightest provocation...

Samurai are clanky and slow, and wear bright colours so that archers can distinguish them from all the other warriors, and risk decapitation by themselves (well, their second anyhow) when they fail...

Ninjas are those scary skinny people you pissed off on the railway and who will soon descend from the rafters, ala Hitman 2, to decapitate you and end your family line. In addition, the ninja risks only decapitation from other ninjas of equal or stronger coolness...

In closing, The mutant turtle brand of ninja is surely the sweetest there is!

I had to vote for pirates because ninjas and samurais are some of the lamest characters in popular culture. As a public service I will attempt to match the legendary character types with the major affliction of the fan of said characters.

Ninjas - asthma
Samurai - obesity
Vampires - homosexuality
Cowboys - latent homosexuality
Angels - abused as a child
Mobsters - Italian
Knights - protracted virginity
Cthulhu - cystic acne
Aliens - extra chromosome
Anime - all of the above

I'd like to sincerely apologize before hand if I've forgotten anyone.

Bruce Lee is an even match for a pirate, a ninja, a samarai AND a knight, all at once.

And if he pulls out the nunchucks... Well, let's just say that in every Bruce Lee film, whenever he whips out the chucks, it illicits a chorus of "IT'S COITANS!" (curtains) from myself and my comrades...
