A little odd for a (primarily) lurker to be doing this, but nonetheless...

My favorite non-theist is RufusAtticus for a multitude of reasons--but mostly because he's so dang sexy.

The atheists I most admire are those who have created and maintained this board, those who have made this a sanctuary for atheists needing intellectual and emotional support, those who have overcome great odds to seek knowledge and free thought, those who have been teachers, those who have been counselors, those who have made me laugh, those who have shared recipes for chocolate cake, those whom Ive met and shared food and drink and friendship, but mostly, those who have been a living example that atheists are good, moral and loving human beings.

Thanks for calling me TIT
![]() ![]() The militancy point is something that I turn over in my mind very often - I ask myself: Am I really in fact a militant Atheist? I think such strong feelings come from a sense of frustration at theism. Sometimes it's like encountering a bewildering stubbornness. Anyway - back to the OP: Id like to add Oolon Colluphid from E/C as well as bd-from-kg and John Page from Philosophy (and EoG). All demonstrate sound reasoning and grasp of complexity in a discussion and so are a pleasure to read. But theres still loads more members/posters Im impressed by. |

Oolon Colluphid and Jesse for knowing their science and being able to argue it so damn well, and QoS for cracking me up with every nutwatch.
