I shouldn't generalize like that. Here's a guy, from the early 9th century who makes no mention of Mohammed, so far as I can discern.... and here's a chap from the seventh century, an Armenian Christian, writing about Islam, again, to the best of my understanding, no mention of either Mohammed or the Quran. However, you are correct, and I am wrong, because two guys not writing about someone, is hardly "ample" evidence of the supposed fictional character of Mohammed. Let me try again: I have encountered zero evidence, thus far, that supports the existence of Mohammed. I can not explain the rapid development of Islam, absent military conquest, just as associate Christianity with Constantine's military dictatorship imposing the dogma on the population by force. This overly simplistic world view, demonstrates the importance of more intelligent approaches, i.e. archaeology. avi |

Good on you for actually writing the words "I am wrong". Few are that honest. Your second try is much sounder. Steve |
