On microfil and on paper I have the first pages of the Panarium or Adversos Haeresis in Greek and Latin. Does it exist on the web (or in a book?) a translation in one modern language? (Could be English, French, German, Italian or Spanish.) It is strange, but very seldom I see a quotation from Epiphanius when there should be a lot to say.

Looked with google, but no hit as far as I could see. Did I miss something?

I do not believe Epiphanius' works are online anywhere.

He has come up in discussions here before, especially with respect to Marcion. I had to go to the library to find and read the Panarion. If there are no copyright issues, Epiphanius' works would be a truly welcome addition to the web, I'm sure.

You have to go to Brill Academic Publishers to purchase the work of Epiphanius in a complete English translation (two volumes and not cheap).

As there is nothing on the web, is anybody interested by the Latin and/or Greek text of the first "sects"? And maybe translating it?!

Is the edition that you possess that of J. P. Migne (Patrologia Grecae)?

Yes, it would be nice to have the Greek or Latin available on the internet. I could host it on my Early Christian Writings web site.

Hi Peter,

I do not think so. The two volume by Migne I have are in French only. This seems older and the title is : Sancti Epiphanii Opera Graec. Lat.. Most pages are good, but some are barely readable. I would have to scan them in gif or jpg format. Do you have an address were to send the files? (Write me personally, please).
