I'm icing it... it hurts bad, but, I suspect it'll be better by moring.

Some guy told me in 1996 that Paw Paws were the Food of the Future.

Yeah...burns hurt like the never-get-overs the first few hours. If ice will cover it well, that's great. That's what I like about wet teabags. They're like miniature ice packs, and the tannic acid is good for the burn, too.

Paw-Paw Patch

Where, oh where, oh where is Susie?
Where, oh where, oh where is Susie?
Where, oh where, of where is Susie?
Way down yonder in the paw-paw patch.

Chorus:
Picking up paw-paws; put 'em in a basket.
Picking up paw-paws; put 'em in a basket.
Picking up paw-paws;put 'em in a basket.
Way down yonder in the paw-paw patch.

Come along, boys, and let's go find her.
Come along, boys, and let's go find her.
Come along, boys, and let's go find her.
Way down yonder in the paw-paw patch

Repeat Chorus:

She's a queen of old Hawaii.
She's a queen of old Hawaii.
She's a queen of old Hawaii.
Way down yonder in the paw-paw patch.

Repeat Chorus:

She can teach you how to hulu.
She can teach you how to hulu.
She can teach you how to hulu.
Way down yonder in the paw-paw patch.

Then again, there's plain old cold water. Any superficial burn can be treated by a solid 20-minutes under running cold water. Soaking the burn in a container of standing water doesn't work. The idea is to stop the damage. Running water helps to dissipate the heat from the affected area. But you can't just do it for 2 or 3 minutes and expect it to work. It takes a full 20-minutes.

Anything placed over the burn, like a wet cloth or bandaid tends to act as an insulator and retains the heat in an area already damaged by heat.
