"Why shouldn't kids be expected to shoot their teachers and fellow students when they are taught that their creator was primordial soup?"

I always knew Jack Chick was insane, but... wtf?

And right after that:

Quote:
That false teaching steals their purpose in life and the basis for their moral standards. It also blinds them to the salvation God offers in Christ Jesus.
Right - your real purpose in life is to avoid what's gonna happen to you if you don't get saved, Hallelujah! The basis for your moral standards is a God that's gonna send you to hell for eternal suffering if you don't repent, Amen! Accept salvation or burn, you bastard!

The fallacies were VERY easy to spot.

If acceptance of evolution causes people to become mass murderers, then why aren't professional evolutionary biologists known for committing mass murder?

There is no mention of hypotheses like the RNA world, which simplify the problem of origins.

The first organisms could be noncellular, being a Haeckelian Urschleim.

The book used Philip Johnson's definition of information,
Quote:
By information, I mean a message that conveys meaning, such as a book of instructions.
Which begs the question.

Talking

Of course, primordial soup is reconciable with the idea of God. However, in that case God would have to look something like this:

You know, the Soup Nazi looks suspiciously like the mustached man in so many of chick's comics. The hair is a bit poofy and the mustache thick, but the intensity is there.

"Lipids are only formed by living cells."

Is this true?

I've been lurking here for a long time and I have to say that is perhaps the funniest thing I've ever seen on this forum.

Why shouldn't kids be expected to treat others like dirt if we teach them that they were formed from dirt?
