Hi, Toto,

I simply inserted the URL,

http://www.nttext.com/index.html

into the Google search box. There were no results. Yet both Yahoo and MSN produced results.

BTW this webpage by Andrew Wilson has already been around for about a year or so.

I guess you meant *algorithm*...

But this matter has nothing to do with any algorithms. Algorithms are only relevant to the ranking of a webpage, such as determining the top ten search results for any given query (a very important matter, to be sure).

But if a website is not even in the database, then it cannot be ranked at all.

Regards,

Yuri.

I got that page to come up on Google. And clicking on the web pages from the site on the results page produced 73 pages from that site.

It doesn't come up in my browser. I just checked again.

Yes, Toto, this is what I had on my screen before.

===============================
www.nttext.com/

Google can show you the following information for this URL:

Find web pages that are similar to www.nttext.com/index.html

[AFTER CLICKING ON THIS: Your search - related:www.nttext.com/ - did not match any documents.]

Find web pages that link to www.nttext.com/index.html

[AFTER CLICKING ON THIS: Your search - link:www.nttext.com/ - did not match any documents.]

Find web pages that contain the term "www.nttext.com/index.html"

[AFTER CLICKING ON THIS: we get one link to FastSearch.ws -- another search engine]

===============================

Thus, "www.nttext.com/index.html", the link that Praxeus gave us, is not in Google database.

Regards,

Yuri.

OK, Ben, if we search on "www.nttext.com", as you've given it, then we can get 73 results.

But I've also done other searches on some key words from "www.nttext.com", and Google didn't produce any results. But other search engines did produce results.

Regards,

Yuri.

I think this is the heavy-handed Chinese censors that got into Yuri's machine more than a Google question.
