When did the holiday of Easter take that name? Seems an oddity that a religion based in Rome would take a name from a Norse god... where's the geographical connexion?

Someone care to shed some light on this?

That word appears to only used in English (and a similar one in German) but every other language (so far as I know) uses a variation of Pascha, such as Pasque, Pasch, etc.

To add to this, it seems that at some point, in Anglo Saxon, besides being a name for a goddess, it was also the name for a month that fell similar to that of April.

It would be similar to why "Good Friday" is named after a Norse god
