Once you start using "ain't" double negatives no longer cancel each other out.

Yes'm, but not originally. Only been down here a year.

Funny thing is, I had a grandmother and a great-grandmother (related by marriage only) who were both originally from Texas. I hear more words, phrases and weird things that I heard growing up, but no where else. It feels a little like coming home.
