How many scientologists actually belive all that crap though? How do we know thats what they are actually taught?

I thought the "upper levels" of Scientology were shrouded in mystery and had been vastly exaggerated by the media etc.

I looked at The Scientology site once and found no mention of all this exiled race stuff.

You won't get Scientologists to officially omit to Xenu being created by Hubbard. However, they're have been numerous court cases started by the Church of Scientology attempting to prevent this story from being published. The cases have always been revolved around copy write violations not slander. If it was not written by Hubbard, it would hardly be violating copy write laws.

Obviously, they don't want people to learn about Xenu until they have been in the organization long enough to be sufficiently brainwashed to believe it, so they try their best to suppress it. Normally, Scientologists won't be allowed to reach the upper levels until they have spent hundreds of thousand of dollars. Since most of them never be able to give the church this much money, most of them will never offically hear this tale, and won't be required to believe in it.

We've had a regular Scientolgist posted here on IIDB named whichphilosophy. He has been asked many times as to whether he believes in Xenu or not, and he has been very evasive on this subject. Christians are usually a lot more open about whether or not they believe in various stories found in the Bible.

Aren't Baigent and Leigh the guys who wrote Holy Blood, Holy Grail, the book of the "history" behind the DaVinci code?

They are the ones, and they just lost their copyright case against Dan Brown. The court held that the Priory of Sion was a hoax. (decision on CESNUR website). The Amazon reviews are not favorable to their Dead Sea Scrolls book.

Your moderators cannot keep up with the posters who love these Extreme Christianity theories.

Obviously, this is not meant to be taken literally. It refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.
