I don't understand the question. By your standards my life has no meaning, but you molded your outlook and mode of thought around the expectation of one.

I don't understand how something becomes meaningless because it doesn't last forever. What does a billion years from now have to do with now?

No, my life doesn't feel meaningful. My existence doesn't serve a purpose. There's really only one really worthwhile purpose I can think of, and I don't think there are any religions on Earth that can deliver it.

Yes, life has meaning.

My life has whatever meaning I give it.

I don't attempt to effect any purported final end or destination of the universe so, I suppose, your OP is moot with me.

I, along with you and all others, live now and provide our own meaning.

What meaning would the God(s)ess(es) place on human life?

If they existed, why did they come to whatever meaning you would have us believe they would want for human life?

If God(s)ess(es) have reasons for human life, the how come humans can't arbitrarily assert their own meaning as well?

Looking forward to your entirely arbitrary and relative response.

It's sad when one believes their delusions is the meaning for their life.

We don't attribute importance to the life of an ant. We attribute life to a human. Because we're humans, we're selfish and ants pester us and seem so small. We matter to us. That means something, if only to us.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
-Max Ehrmann, Desiderata

Life is scarce in the vastness of the Universe. To add to our uncommonness, we are the consciousness of the Universe since we are the only (known) part of the Universe that actually is conscious and care. Amidst all the coldness and uncaring of the Universe we care.

There is also purpose in that life which is almost barren of both creation and enjoyment and which admits of but one possibility of high moral behavior: namely, in man's attitude to his existence, and existence restricted by external forces.... Without suffering and death human life cannot be complete.
- Viktor Emil Frankl
(From here)

This is, of course an existential point of view. We are, we decide and are determined to be, we are the authors of our destiny. And our love gives us strength...

The salvation of man is through love and in love. I understood how a man who has nothing left in this world still may know bliss, be it only for a brief moment, in the contemplation of his beloved.
- Viktor Emil Frankl
(ibid.)

Also, I invite you to read THIS. The following are some quotes worth quoting there:

Quote:
Albert Einstein:
Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.

Albert Schweitzer:
Ethics, too, are nothing but reverence for life. This is what gives me the fundamental principle of morality, namely, that good consists in maintaining, promoting, and enhancing life, and that destroying, injuring, and limiting life are evil.

Abraham Lincoln:
And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
Now let me ask you, What counts?

But you don't want to, do you? I mean, you're probably glad, possibly even proud, that your mindset doesn't match that of the OP. Aren't you?

Now leads to a billion years to now. At least, from a human perspective. I don't know how it really is, but we seem to generally see time as a line where events happen in a particular order and events in the past or present lead to other events way down the line in the future. You might often have heard of people doing things in the present primarily because of what they expect them to lead to in the future. You've heard of that, right?

I've never seen it broken down into steps. Not X, therefore life is stupid and bad. Something's missing from that argument. It makes intuitive sense to a lot of theists but I've never seen it elaborated.

Which has nothing to do with how much I like the idea.

"Do you think what you do makes a difference?" is a totally different question from "Does your life have a meaning?".

No, I don't find much meaning in my life--nor do I think it makes a difference.
