No, of course not! It's more like this:
"Oh, what a CUTE widdle Jesus you are! come here! Yeah, who's a good Jesus? Who's a good Jesus? Oh, aren't you the cutest? Yes you are! Yes you are! good Jesus! that's a good Jesus! Come give daddy a hug, you cute widdle guy! yeah, who's a savior? who's a savior? You are!"

and so on.

This made me chuckle, but I'm also cringing just a tad to think how insulted all these adorers would be to see how we view them and their superstitious practice. Some of these people are close family members, as I mentioned earlier. Such divides that have developed in this country, even in this "blue" state.

(I'm sure many other religious folks view this type of idolatry as improper worship, just as these Catholics are likely to look askance at the "rapture ready" types. Unfortunately, they all seem to vote the same "wrong" way.)

As a southern girl, born and bred, I can tell you, this ain't no biscuit. It is in texture, color and taste more similar to a thin bit of styrofoam.

Ben is from the UK, crackers are called biscuits.

Just helping out with the translation.

I thought cookies were called biscuits across the pond. Tea biscuits, for example. In any case, none are lacking in taste like the "holy host."

Not a lot to add... But, the Precious Blood cannot be reserved- it must be consumed in it's entirety at the Mass in which it is consecrated. That's why the Chalice is never seen in Adoration.

Why must be the wine be consumed while the bread is left over for adoration? What's the reasoning behind this, if any?
