So a former Klan Grand Dragon reveals that he is a mythicist.
Do you wish to also claim that all of those millions of Southern Baptists, Methodists, and Pentecostals that comprised the Klan's hierarchy and murderous white sheeted rank and file were likewise mythicists?
Are you going to pretend that you are unaware that traditionally becoming a Grand Dragon required that one first be a prominent white Southern Baptist Christian preacher?

I live in the Bible Belt. I hear, first hand and all to often, just how religious these ignorant and bigoted hate-mongering Christian believers and Klan supporters really are.
So don't try to blow smoke up my ass with claims that the Klan has ever been comprised of, or primarily led by mythicists.

Metzger is no longer with the Klan - he is more of a lone wolf neo-Nazi. He wrote that quote above as part of a defunct group, the White Aryan Resistance.

The Klan is and always has been a self-identified Christian organization.

The point I'm making is that the Christian Right is moving toward a mythicist position, wherein Christ is an Aryan sun symbol. Metzger is just among the first to publicly articulate this position.

The Christian right as we understand it in the US is definitely not moving towards mythicism. Metzger has no significant followers, and no longer seems to consider himself a Christian.
