Islam spread throughout the Middle East and across North Africa within one hundred years of the death of Muhammed, possibly the fastest spreading religion in history, does this make it true?

...and hook up with Penelope Cruz, I'm a Scientologist!

But actually, I've never heard that their religious beliefs had anything to do with the Cruise/Kidman breakup.

1)What scientific evidence exists to disprove the existence of Jesus as a man?

2)Further more, what reasoning can disprove his relation to God?

Loaded question.. glhf!
I'll answer your second question.

Let's assume the god of the OT is real. Deuteronomy 13 says god will sometimes allow false prophets to perform miracles in order to test the Hebrews' faithfullness.

Jesus wanted to change the laws of the Torah. That made him a false prophet. So according to Deut 13 any and all miracles he did were to be ignored because he wanted people to rebel against the "true" god of the Hebrews.

So even if he did every miracle they said he did, including rise from the dead, he has no relation to the god of the Torah. This is one of the biggest proofs against the NT, yet christians never seem to understand it. They always assume that because he did miracles, that proves he comes from god. Jesus makes a similar claim in the gospels, so that shows that he doesn't understand Deut 13 either.

Operation Clambake

The short version of this is that the creator of Dianetics and Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, claimed humans evolved from clams in his book "A History of Man".

I could answer this, but it would require a new thread, and I don't know which sub-forum it would belong to. Would a mod like to help me out here?

Hi Adora,

Feel free to discuss the history of Islam here, since it is an "Abrahamic" religion. Just start a new thread. If it gets off-topic, we'll deal with it.

Your friendly neighbourhood moderator,
Joel

P.S. Discussion of scientology, on the other hand, belongs elsewhere [confusion](no, not necessarily ~Elsewhere~, just elsewhere) [/confusion]

No way. Is Wilhelm a very common name in the USA nowadays? Or Guillaume?
