Oh no, radiation! I never learned what it really is, but the media tells me everything I need to know. Radiation is a large green monster that eats children and costs taxpayers lots of money whilst handing out speeding tickets.
Looking at the figures, its not all that groundbreaking. Assuming its a very large and accurate study, having a dosage over 30 times background, equivalent to nearly 1000 chest x-rays, results in a 1% chance of cancer/lukemia. Seems quite misleading though: "No Radiation Level Safe" as a title Eventually accepts that the group decided that the 1990 estimates were fine. Ian |
