I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I've been looking for software that contains different Bible versions in a searchable format. However, most of the software that I've found seems to be written for conservative Christians and either has a limited number of versions or also contains all sorts of useless junk(sermon helps, e-books on creationism, commentaries from the 1800's, etc.). Any recommendations would be welcome.
Thanks. |

This is not exactly what you are looking for (software), but a very useful website:

Seconded. The nice thing about the site, too, is that it's very easy to craft links to passages (note the main URL change, though):
http://bible.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/b...-7&version=YLT (you may have to hover your mouse to see the whole URL) Or nice and clean links here using this board's software: Matt 6:5-7 |

QuickVerse is pretty decent. I think later versions have gotten somewhat less scholarly and more "preachy," but it has practically every Bible version and a huge amount of reference materials. Very easy to use, too.

I like e-sword. http://www.e-sword.net/ It's free software, user friendly and has a TON of translations.
