How convenient! So the Jews coined the use of a very rarely used Greek word, very rarely used by Greeks outside the translations of Judaic works. Similarly they coined the term Mary and used it throughout the entire New Testament.
which idea? That the term "messiach" comes from the root word "Yasha" which means "Yah saves"...? The definition of "annointed", the Greek Christos supposedly comes from the word which means "smear"...seems a very imperfect translation. Now tell me...could the Jews have been sooo ignorant as to ignore the fact that Jesus was an adopted son of Joseph and that Joseph himself was not a "son of David" as he is called in the Gospels? I think not...this shows that whoever was involved with the Gospels was trying to find parallel concepts in Judaism, something Jews would understand and thus allow them to convert... |
