"What is the most miraculous prayer God has answered in your life?
Hi Girls!

I was thinking about this question yesterday after posting my story about the problems my DH and I are having. Even though we are still struggling through some difficult things, God answered a huge prayer for me in my marriage. I remember the day after my hubby told me he was gay and leaving me and the kids, we all went to the mall for shopping and lunch. I remember sitting at the table waiting while he got the kids' food and his just praying my heart out that God would "fix" him and make him want to stay with me. I knew in my heart that it was impossible, that he would be leaving us - we just didn't seem compatible, you know? But I prayed anyway, telling God I knew he wanted us together, that he hates divorce, and that I knew he could do anything. I begged God for my hubby to stay.

God is so amazing! Within a week, DH had decided to stay. He had spent time with his Christian counselor; he had read and learned about what God expected of him, and he decided to stay. What an answer to prayer! And so FAST too!

So I was wondering, what is the most miraculous answer God has given you in answer to your prayers?

Wow now that's some shit. Gay people need to be "fixed." What like neutered? I do find the RR people to be both very sad and unintentionally funny.

Jeez that is just too too much. I just a while perusing the postings over at rapture, christ that is sickening. Nothing funny about those folks.

Does it not make feel real serene knowing knowing that there are some in the Bush admin who share the same distorted views

this is my last post on this thread folks. I have weak stomach so I shall visit th rapture no more

It's just sad.

To qoute Willem Dafoe in one of my favorite comedies of all time:

Miraculously, no one in the other car was hurt, but I had a bad concussion, a bruised rib, cracked kneecap, torn tendon in my neck, some bad bruises, and what the paramedics thought might be a ruptured spleen. I had post concussion syndrome for about 10 months after, and still get some migraines related to the accident.

I know God had a hand in it, because there were so many things that could have gone wrong. He truly is all powerful!
It boggles the mind.

That same week, I was away on vacation in a terrible thunderstorm. I was hit by lightening that traveled under ground. I became pregnant that night. (yes, I know the day) My Dr said the lightening fixed my hormonal problem. Yes I did praise God and still do everytime I look in my DD's eyes. He does answer prayer.
He does work in mysterious ways, indeded.

I vote completely and utterly depressing. There's a reason I never go to their fora.

Edited to add: I'm not even trying to be funny here. I really do think it's all bloody depressing.

Personally, I’m looking forward to the rapture. It’s the only way to get rid of the fundys.

I ventured over there and saw this just the other day. The really sad thing is that in another thread, the same woman asks what she should do about a marital problem. See, for some reason her husband hasn't wanted to have sex with her for about a year.......

It's terribly sad, but it is also funny, in a dark humor sort of way. Then again, I feel the same way about terrible things that have happened in my own life. If you don't laugh, you'll cry.

Likewise. That whole series of "left behind" letters on RR to which someone linked recently did it for me.
