More Abbott and Costello and the Bible
Hi "I Am Only An Egg,"
Abbott and Costello do have a funny Jonah and whale routine. It makes about as much sense as the Biblical Jonah tale. Here is the ending where God compares the killing of a gourd to the killing of 120 thousand people: Quote:

Song of Solomon 1
Beloved [a] 2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth— for your love is more delightful than wine. 3 Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the maidens love you! 4 Take me away with you—let us hurry! Let the king bring me into his chambers. |

Didn't Jesus say that he came as a drunkard? Or didn't Paul say that we are all prostitutes in this world?

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners."' But wisdom is proved right by all her children." I don't know anything about prostitutes in Paul. |
