Bye the way, Jesus i.e. Caesar was an Epicurean and he loved women, e.g. Cleopatra who is also known as Mary Magdalene.

Yes, that's right. Many of Caesar's groupies followed him grom Gallia.
At the Gallic triumph the following was one of the most decent songs to be heard, Suet. Jul. 51:

Vrbani seruate uxores:
moechum caluom adducimus;
Aurum in Gallia effutuisti,
hic sumpsisti mutuum.

Robert Graves translated:

‘Home we bring our bald whoremonger,
Romans lock your wives away,
all the bags of gold you lent him
went his Gallic tarts to pay’.

Now, that might be one reason why the Catholic Church won't be too happy to learn who Jesus really was.

Do you really think the Catholic church thinks that Jesus existed except in the myth? If so how can Julius Ceasar be "the Jesus."

You and even a hundred million like you will never change that. You'll just be another protestant sect.

That's funny. I was brought up as a Catholic.
Interesting question though, how Christianity will change once (it will take a while, I guess) Jesus' identity is acknowledged.

What makes you think that Jesus Christ was Julius Caesar? Or at least that's the impression I get.

Default It will be good for religion as a whole.

Same here, in Tilburg Holland and know how Catholics think over there. As I suggested, religion in America is 'on the run' and anything you can do to slow it down will be good for the world as a whole. It would not surprise me if you can 'sell' it over here but that would not affect the Catholic church any.

I'd say good luck.

I just scanned through the summary. It's an interesting theory, but the entire thing strikes me as utterly ridiculous. His "parallels" are tenuous or simply not there. When a list of similarities includes things like this: "The other Brutus is Caesar’s murderer and Barabbas is a murderer," the author is clearly fetching in order to make the list appear more substantial, and thus weakens his own case.

Quote:
Caesar finds Corfinium occupied by a man of Pompey and besieges him, while Jesus finds a man possessed by an impure spirit.
Maybe it's just me, but I find "parallels" like this good only for selling books.
