Default Discern top Christian forums

The most active is not necessarily the most spiritual.

Ah, yes, the "No True Christian" argument...

As far as I can see, only three groups of Christians could make a reasonable case to be the "true" Christians, depending on interpretation:

1. Members of the official Christian church created by Peter at the request of Jesus himself: Roman Catholics.

2. Denominations based on taking the official Christian "holy book", the Bible, as literally as possible: Calvinists and other "inerrantists".

3. Denominations based on the actual teachings of Jesus, inferred from direct quotes attributed to him in the gospels (assuming their accuracy) - which would involve rejecting Paulianity and ignoring any part of the Old Testament not specifically endorsed by Jesus.

You've specifically rejected 1 and 2, and somehow I doubt that 3 fits either. So, what is your definition of a "true" Christian?

I'm guessing it's the same answer everyone who uses the 'True Christian' argument secretly thinks, even if they don't say it. In other words: 'Me and everyone else who thinks the same way I do'.

Those reciprocating could lose their members but if such is true, then it is good that such individuals leave, leaving only the ones that are not so fleshly.

So basically lvdyou (aka "Troy") is promoting his own discussion board, Christianity Forums as the only true Christian forum on the Internet. This is an attempt at marketing by spam.
