Reading the OP I repeat my question, posted as a thread in the secular activism section:

Why don't we play the bigotry card more??

(ps. Obviously the position taken by the Christian mod(s) is bogus. If the biblegod had encouraged A&E to eat the lethal fruit, and discouraged eating the nutricious, it would be pretty obvious to any reader, devout believer or not, that there's something fishy going on. The biblegod didn't say don't eat from that tree because I said so, but don't eat from it because you'll DIE. And who a rule comes from, is irrelevant. Drinking bleach is a bad plan regardless of who encourages or discourages you to do so. Hense it's those hypocrits stealing from secular morality, based on the pursuit of human wellbeing, and not the other way around.)

Fortunately, this isn't the case. The foundation of morality is love and love is valuable for its own sake. It needs no external sanction, divine or otherwise.
Provided you define love carefully then it is good. Otherwise "love" can be used as a cloak tp cover all sorts of nefarious acts.

Damn LGM- wondered why I havent heard from you in a while (I guess it doesn't take much imagination to work out I'm EvoUK). So they finally game you the boot, eh?

I'm shocked you managed to stay so long, though by the time you'd left most of the uber-arseholes (Jason, Arnold, Jinx, Paul, Musicman, Mountain Man- god, too many to name!) there didn't take anything you said seriously, so any good points you had were lost on the vast majority of people, which is a shame.

So, what made you come here then? Heard about us from the fundies at TWeb?

Hey EvoUK!

Well, a temporary boot anyway.

Here is the e-mail I received that provides the explanation of my heinous crimes and temporary banning:

LakeGeorgeMan,

After reviewing your behavior of late, it's the decision of the Admin
team to suspend your account for the period of 14 days. After which you
will be allowed to participate again, providing you respect our decorum and
aren't too big of a disruption.

The Admin Team

Translation:

Dear “soon to be roasting in the lake of fire? infidel,

You really are a pain in the arse, and even though you haven’t formally been told for what specific "behavior" you're being temporarily banned, or what decorum you've disrespected…we just really want to shut you up for awhile. Many of us, especially those you’ve exposed as pious hypocrites, want to do it permanently, but some collective feelings of guilt, and a sense of fair play embodied in some of our Admins, is preventing us from taking that action at this time. Besides, you’re the funniest person on this backwater website and you help our ratings during sweeps week.

Love and kisses,

Dee Dee Warren

Well...they were not my target audience, and I never asked to be taken too seriously anyway. I never had any delusion that I was changing the minds of either the "uber-arseholes" or the vast majority of Christians on that site. My primary goal was simply to make people laugh and think, and my primary means was parody, sarcasm and mocking of the vast pool of “uber-arseholes? as you so eloquently labeled them.

No…I’ve known about IIDB for a long time and have read countless articles in the vast library on infidels.org. This is a wonderful site and the level of discourse and intelligence of the posters here seems quite a bit higher than on Tweb. Of course perhaps I’m a teensy bit biased…

There are countless really smart, highly educated, witty and sarcastic skeptics/atheists/naturalists/scientists/historians posting on IIDB…so here I’m just another member in the choir, where over there I was the king of the wiseass skeptics. I’m quite certain I hold the record for most POTDs of anyone ever banned.

For some odd reason, it would appear Tweb is having a little trouble with their site the past few days. I hope it wasn’t that backdoor I left that runs a mysql script that corrupts their database if anyone ever suspends my account…I had completely forgot about that…

Oh well…just doing my part to start the rapture…

I always did have a knack for language...

But yeah, I suppose yet again I've been spending too much time amongst the heard, and need a break- makes me cranky, happens to the best (and most mediocre) of us!

Which begs the question of why you dragged you're feet for so long getting here!

I do agree that the articles in the library are amazing reads- though honestly I haven't read through them too much lately.

Yeah- there are a hell of a lot more smart-asses on here then I'm used to on TWeb, makes reading that much more enjoyable.

Ooh- as a side note- you ever considered going to an infidels meet up? I don't know how they go over the states, but here they tend to be great for piss ups and binge eating here in sunny England.

The shite doth flow in the most agreeable ways- I blame Oolon.
