Default Creation Myths

I wanted to know if Creationism is restricted only to the Bible, or does it apply to anyone who believes that a deity created the world.

I think the term was coined with Judeo-Christian creation story in mind, but I don't see why it wouldn't apply to other creation traditions.

Creation myths from around the world

"Creationism" when used around here typically applies to the Christians et al who believe in a literal translation of Genesis.

Note that there are people of other religions that also believe their creation myths are to be taken literally.

But there are many practitioners of various religions who recognize that their respective creation myths are intented to be interpreted metaphorically rather than literally.
