You're taking the Bible out of context and twisting scripture to fit your own skewed interpretation. Only Christians are allowed to do that because they receive Divine guidance to help them correctly interpret scripture.

Genesis 1 also has a certain schematic structure:

Day 1: celestial environments:
Daytime
Nighttime

Day 2: far-terrestrial environments:
Sky
Sea

Day 3: near-terrestrial environments:
Land
Plants

Day 4: celestial inhabitants:
Sun
Moon
Stars

Day 5: far-terrestrial inhabitants:
Birds
Fish, sea monsters

Day 6: near-terrestrial inhabitants:
Land animals, humanity
"You may eat these"

Day 7: the first Sabbath in the history of the Universe

By contrast, Genesis 2 gives the appearance of a much more improvised creation, one that God fixes as he goes.

Ah, you mean God practices the Extreme Programming methodology? I knew it! Evolution is just his re-factoring!

That's known as the "Indiana Jones School of Programming Development," inspired by the line in one of the movies, "I don't know! I'm making it up as I go along!"

Which, BTW, was an ad lib when he forgot his lines, but it worked so well they left it in!

It does answer my question to some extent, thank you.

It shows that the standard response to questions such as mine is to fly to Cloud Cukoo Land, purchase a nice little house there and spout COMPLETE DRIVEL.

Your arguments are completely ridiculous. I suppose you'll be saying that the Earth is only 6000 years old next. (Go on. Make my day )
ROTFPMSL! I swear I am crying laughing after having read that! :notworthy

Parts of Ezra and Daniel. If you have a modern translation it will usually provide you with foortnotes to indicate the change from Hebrew.

Less, in this case. Magus has left the building.

Its not easy to convert ancient Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic into perfect English.
You know, I've always found these "translation error" arguments to be quite fascinating, since we supposedly have more copies of the Bible in more languages than any other document. I mean, wouldn't you have a ton of other legitimate translations in other languages to check against? I could be wrong, but that's just the way it's always seemed to me. Has anyone else ever wondered about that?

It does make one wonder why God chose to use a language which is apparently so hard to understand....
