I've read a great deal of material debating the resurrection of Jesus, and the one thing that everyone seems to agree on is that I Corinthians was written by Paul. Even Robert M. Price grants this, while arguing that the letter was tampered with. Why, though?

Reasons I can think of:
1) The line where Paul is identified seems consistent between all versions of the letter, indicating it was in the original.
2) The above alone is not conclusive; might it be argued that the letter is too situation-specific to be a later forgery?

What literature exists debating this? Even a couple articles would be interesting to read.

1 Clement (AKA the letter of the Romans to the Corinthians) refers to an epistle of Paul to the Corinthians in which he rebukes them for being divided between Paul Cephas and Apollos (see 1 Clement chapter 47).

This must be our 1 Corinthians and if one accepts 1 Clement as authentic provides strong evidence for the authenticity of 1 Corinthians.

I can't determine that date of that publication. Ie, was it simply reprinted in 2003 from an older document? Is it modern or not?
