Default Bush uses God as justification for Military attack?

Does George Bush really believe that God told him to attack Iraq? A fellow poster introduced me to this Washington Post article that says this may be the case. The WP article also casts or tries to cast doubt to this quote. Has anyone heard if this really is how Bush justifies a military strike?

Road Map in the Back Seat?

Imagine our surprise Wednesday to read in the Israeli paper Haaretz (online), that Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Abu Mazen, meeting recently with militants to enlist their support for a truce with Israel, said that, when they met in Aqaba, President Bush had told him this: " God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam [ Hussein], which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them."

So who needs to find WMD or a link with al Qaeda when the orders come from The Highest Authority?

Default Bush Quote

Bush may or may not have said that; however, on numerous occasions he has said that 'God Guides all my actions as president.' That's a paraphrase. So many statements to the above sentiment make the idea that he said that god told him to strike Al-Queda - not out of the range of possibility.

It's amazing thing when a religion becomes the majority and becomes Caesar. Yep, it's such a True Christian thing to be a war monger. Can't you just imagine Paul, John, and Peter debating "What would Jesus Bomb"? Yippy, yie yae, bomb them mother …

Not sure of the quote as well, but it certainly captures the sentiment.
