Thankies again (and to TransverseWave and StoutDrinker), I was just worried there might be a point of etiquette that I'd missed and would need to follow.

I'm not discounting your point at all. I think is totally possible.

I'm just reporting the neutral facts of how the mod and admin panels work, and the limitations of those panels. Just to let you know, the admin panel has a lot more functions and features than the mod panel. They can do a lot more with member accounts. Even so, the admin panel does not give access to read or alter members' PM's. That's just the way it's set up.

All I'm saying is - by default, staff members are unable to access PM's. The only way to access would be to hack. If a staff member hacked, they should step down immediately!

I would imagine that not many of us are VB hackers. The chances of a staff member being a hacker is always a possibility. seebs tells me that Erwin has since plugged the hole. So, whatever did happen, is prevented from ever happening again.

When did all this happen? Was it recent? How long ago are we talking about?

Sorry for the cursing there. I cannot believe they banned you, this is crazy! You were one of the best posters there and you were even more gracious than other posters, including me. I know I can make posts that feel like a person has just shit all over you by making you look stupid, but you actually never came across that way. Always hitting them with the knowledge and being very civil about it.

Knowing you've been banned just makes me think how bad CF is especially for their hypocritical True Christian moderators. Damn, I thought it was bad enough getting banned for posting something about a friend who has just died, but banning mhatten?!

Don't worry, we welcome you with open arms.

you guys have made me feel very welcome...thanks!!
