everything he did is fair game, i have no problem with that. He seemed rather open about his past. Good thing bush has been so forthcoming about his past indiscretions . . . oh, wait.

The circumstances of Kerry's Navy service became fair game when the President's Air National Guard service was questioned by the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, including questions pertaining to his first Purple Heart and his reasons for volunteering for swift boat duty. And, of course, his political record was always and entirely fair game.

The most specific war crime admission I know of Kerry making was before Congress, when he said, ""Yes, I committed the same kinds of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed. I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages." Where are you getting your information? Just to be sure, you're not getting him confused with Bob Kerrey, a former Navy SEAL who made much more specific admissions a couple of years ago, are you? If John Kerry has made more specific confessions, I'd definitely be interested in reading about them in an article or transcript or something.

Edit:

For the record, I was responding to this post, which I have edited so I believe it doesn't break the rules (which I helped write):

Quote:
Given that Kerry's body count includes women, children, a baby and the elderly, I don't see why supporters of the murderers have a problem with him. Oh, that's right, he regretted doing such things, which is the real crime in the eyes of jingoist supporters of murder.
If the above is still too "inflammatory," then the rules are being abused to limit legitimate viewpoints, in this case that hold that war crimes were widespread in Vietnam, when they involved avoidable killing of civilians they constituted murder, and that thus those who continue to champion the Vietnam War and without consistently and seriously condemning the war crimes and those who were ultimately responsible, and who are the same people championing wars today that are resulting in the killing and murders of, say, Iraqis, are in fact jingoist supporters of murder.

It’s quite obvious you do, given your support of the US government, the largest terrorist organization in history, and basically everything it does.

I whole heartedly agree. And it’s not a secret at all, Kerry admits it. But it isn’t a “war crime? per se, since it was standard policy of the imperialistic US government. Those peasants shouldn’t have been in the free-fire zone, should they, Rev Prez?

Not really Chuck. Saddam was 'our' man, back in the day. The Reagan administration even made apologies for him when the international community was calling for more investigation into his brutality against the Kurds.

In fact, to this day, no one really understands why the former Bush turned against Saddam. It probably has something to do with Kuwaiti pressure on the CIA, as evidenced by the documents found during Iraqi's invasion of a meeting between them and CIA Director William Webster in 1989.
