CHAPTER VIII: EXTRA-BIBLICAL EVIDENCE FOR JESUS' EXISTENCE

To save everyone wading through such drivel
I have made a very quick summary list.



That's it folks.

Believe in this evidence and ye shall be saved from having to think for yourself.

So far so good.


The final sentence is obviously false. Quite obviously the hypothesis that the Christian sources are pious forgeries could not be entertained by the gentile mind of the year 1912. However the fact remains that the Christian sources, in which the HJ appears, may well have been lovingly fabricated by pious forgery. And if the Christian sources were in fact forged and/or fabricated, then the historicity of jesus is in the wastepaper basket.

It is neither obvious nor a fact.

If it were true, it would be irrelevant, but it is patently false.

Evangelical apologists claim to believe in God. You claim not to believe in God. For the life of me, I cannot see any other difference between you and them.

• I believe that religion should be discouraged through the most effective means available
• I am a loyal fan of Monty Python, House, Cosmos, and South Park
• I believe that Jesus was a psychopath and he lied to his idiot disciples that the end of the world would be coming very shortly and they should be members of his cult if they wanted to be spared from the doomsday

Other than that, I am an evangelical apologist.
