Default For once, some good news!

This story absolutely made my day. I guess the Young Republicans didn't understand that they aren't entitled to a free handout, and there is no free lunch. Well, their mentors probably taught them that those principles apply only to the poor, not to wealthy Republicans:

Heh.

Irony can be pretty ironic at times.

Gee, who woulda thunk it. Republicans spending beyond their means, borrowing money and leaving it for someone else to pay back. I guess now we know they teach them that shit in college.

That's all that needs to be said.

Hehe

I liked this one:
Quote:
"I (Kaufman) have a book coming out in a few weeks titled 'In Defense of the Bush Doctrine,'" he said. "That suffices to indicate where I stand."
Thats where the last Bush supporter was hiding!

My favorite part:

Quote:
"In a place such as UVM," Kaufman wrote in an e-mail, "the vitality of a Republican club is tenuous under the best of circumstances." He said the club's fortunes would hinge "on the energy and intellect of the students themselves" in their ability to challenge what he called "the stifling consensus on campus among faculty and administration."

He emphasized that he had a high regard for UVM students; among the faculty, however, he occasionally felt like a "pariah."
Now there's irony: an avowed conservative citing structural/environmental barriers to success.
