"The hope," Moore writes "is for Biloxi, Miss., and all of the created universe, to be redeemed and restored in Christ."
Because we all know how few Christians there are in Mississippi.

Any chance for a linky to the original news article? It's the sort of thing I'd like to forward to liberal christians who are in denial about the sentiments of their less liberal brethren.

There is a point at which liberal Christians must recognize they are not Christian at all - and that's a good thing.

Exactly! Every Christian who is consistent inhis beliefs has to believe that Hurricane Katrina did what it did by God's will. The death and suffering have to be good, or God is either not omnipotent or not benevolent.

Every now and again I begin to think that some Christians are not so bad. Then I remember what they believe about starvation and some of the more grotesque diseases.
