I have fixed the title accordingly. Clearly, I did not have enough "ELEVEN" to the original.

That's it. I've had it with Women's Discussion. I can no longer enjoy even socializing there.

Thank you, TS, for reminding me once more than I can never, ever be complacent or comfortable on CF.

I've run into this sentiment quite a bit in Christian circles. Rarely do I see it spelled out so clearly.

Pair it up with this stellar example of an argument I'd aleady heard a thousand times in Sunday School long before the internet was born, and you have good reason to be creeped out and genuinely afraid.

Jesus said: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. ~ John 15:12.

What he didn't add was that love is the enforcing of orthodoxy at any cost, that you and I are not able to love as Christians love, and that the love Christians have for one another is invisible to us because we are on the outside looking in. It is the goal of Christianity to dehumanize us by whatever means. The cost of forgetting that can be literally fatal.

Or hey, there's the other lovely little tantrum that was thrown in the other thread that was just locked. That was charming as well.

*shudder* I would like to say that you are over-reacting, but I can't. There are some Christians who would just as soon that we cease to exist, right now, and not through being saved.

The good people here, both Christians and non, help to allay those fears of mine that arise from time to time but there is always at someone, somewhere who will remind me to not get complacent.
