Perpetual Drinking Thread
This idea is blatantly stolen from the arstechnica openforum, and if it's inappropriate for the IIDB then I'm sorry and please delete it... however:
The idea is simple: Post in here when you're drinking, or within 24 hours before or after. Wild stories, amusing anecdotes, bad spelling are all part of the deal. I'll start by mentioning that I'm getting ready to go out to my local bar for their Sunday night special. They celebrate the Lord's Day by offering imported beers for 2 dollars a pop, and it's recently become movie night. Recent movies have included Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Pulp Fiction. I'm convinced that the owner of the bar does this because he gets some sort of sadistic delight in the knowledge that tons of college students will be struggling through their Monday morning classes with a throbbing head and cottonmouth! Ah well. Cheers!

I had a couple of margaritas, follwoed by a few beers. Going to the fridge now - can I get anyone anything? Oh, and all typos were merely for show

Heh...on Valentine's Day, my girlfriend and I had a fight (we're fine now, thanks) and I went and got drunk in a Japanese sake bar. I met some strange guy named Immanuel and we went to see some free opera at the University after I did a bit of vagrancy around town. That was about it...not funny, but definitely interesting from my point of view.

Well, I'm drinking now(only just started, though- only had about half a stubbie so far, so no wild stories, amusing anecdotes, bad spelling, etc. yet )- sort of a one-man wake in honour of my cousin's wife who was killed last Saturday night, and I just got home from her funeral. I think I need a few drinks to get all the religious crap out of my head that the pastor who perfomed the service was spouting...

Whew let's get this party started! I've got my MGD right here. Just got blood work back and it looks like I'm cancer free !!!!! Just gotta do it again in 6 months and then go for the full body scan. Oh joy. Gotta love drinking that barium stuff. Yummm.
