My mother and I were driving earlier this morning and I saw a church sign that said:
"Experts built the Titanic, Amateurs built the Ark" I can't exactly say what but that saying just made me very angry. To think that some unforgivably callous bastards could exploit an international tragedy that way was just disgusting. What do you all think? |

So was what I said incorrect Magus??
It doesn't change the fact the the boat God designed to save people was structured to save only 8 souls out of the countless he allocated for drowning. P.G. |

Which is unfair to the Titanic; its design was fundamentally sound -- that infamous iceberg was simply too much for it. A ship with nearly identical design, the Olympic, lasted until it was scrapped in 1936. Another similar-design ship, the Britannic, was in service until it was sunk by a mine in 1916 during WWI. For more, check out sites like http://www.20thcenturyliners.com
Putting down the Titanic is like saying that some car design is fundamentally unsound simply because some car built with that design had gotten totaled upon hitting a wall at full speed. So if there is any lesson to be learned, it's "watch where you're going". |

"The rest were pure evil"
??? Such as the young children and suckling babes. Obviously God was correct in killing them right? 'Cause as you've pointed out, they were pure evil. Wickedness incarnate huh? -Gambit |

Yeah, I'm pretty curious as well as to how exactly the countless infants, toddlers and small children (not to mention EVERY SINGLE OTHER human on the planet) was "pure evil". Wait, let me guess: because the Bible says so?
Magus, sometimes I wonder if you ever really stop to think about this scenario. Picture a three year old child, frozen in terror as the waters rise, clinging to his mother's skirt as she holds his infant brother or sister as high as possible in a vain attempt to save its life, only to invetably succumb, sputter, drown and sink lifelessly in the deep waters sent forth by your loving God. Pure evil, indeed. |
