You may not agree with the site, but then you wouldn't be a good Catholic. To discount it as being "conservative" is being a little disingenious. At least in theory, you shouldn't be taking communion unless you agree with it. You may not agree with the opinions, which is fine, but that IS the Catholic view.

To see how "conservative" Catholics view other Catholics:

And, for the Mel Gibson group, see this:

Just a quick question - does anyone have a few links to thorough arguments against Mosaic authorship and the dating of Genesis? I've heard arguments here and there - but as I've been so caught up in philosophical argumentation and the history of the New Testament, that I haven't gotten the chance to really look into it.

Catholic scholars remained unable to contribute to the ongoing critical process until the middle of the twentieth century, when Pius XII (Divino Afflante Spiritu, 1943) and later the Second Vatican Council endorsed the use of scientific criticism to arrive at a fuller understanding of Scripture.
I got this quotation from the following site, which wasn't actually that great, but at least it referenced the documents and popes that I was thinking of:

I do acknowledge, though, that the mere openness to historical-critical methods doesn't guarantee that all the Catholic "higher-ups" would now be rejecting Mosaic authorship, which may be contributing to the conflicting websites that people have been finding. Does anyone know if any popes or others have made definitive pronouncements on the matter since the time of Pius XII?

I would like to second this request.

..... "The Bible Unearthed" by Silberman & Finklestein" has a general argument against Mosaic authorship.
