If you still don't understand, and this most recent statement surely indicates you do not, I really don't think I can help you. I've presented it as clearly as I am able. I don't know any shorter words that will do the job. |

DLB: why aren't my assertions supported in the text A13: because its not supported by any scholors DLB: how do you know? A13: well this one pastor disagrees with you Obvious reason why you didn't answer the question. Quote:
as it stands, since no contradictory evidence is being presented, their the departure from the tomb goes like this. they departed with fear and joy, encountered men and didn't say anything to them because they were AFRAID. i.e. fear, joy, and fear, does anyone else have any criticisms about my narrative? |

I lost track of your narrative several pages back.
Anyhow, are you saying the women ran back, met some random men who they didn't tell about their experience, and then continued on to Peter, who they did tell about it? |

Your assertion is contrary to the text because Mary is quite clearly referring to the disposition of Jesus' dead body. This is not just my opinion but that of at least one professional Christian scholar. You insist that she is, contrary to appearances, referring to the disposition of Jesus' living body but you have nothing to support it but your own amateur and uninformed opinion. I leave it to the rational readers of this thread to judge the merits of each case but that really isn't much of a mystery, is it? Your bluster and bullshit certainly notwithstanding, you have clearly failed to meet Barker's challenge. You are only kidding yourself in thinking otherwise. |

no I am saying she (mary magdelene) ran away from the tomb in fear and joy to go tell the disciples. On the way she encountered some 'random men' (as you put it) and she didn't say anything because she was afraid. Then she came to peter experiencing fear and told him that they have taken our Lord (the angels) and I do not know where they have laid him (she doesn't know where Christ is)

Pastor Gizok makes the claim that Mary magdelene is talking about Jesus being dead Therefore, Mary Magdelene is talking about Jesus being dead. Text book argument from authority. Its so funny how you just continue to make these fallacious arguments. *hugs Ameqee* |

Mark writes: "... and they said nothing to anyone." This literally means that they said nothing to anyone. Peter was someone! If you were to say to me: "I have said nothing to anyone about this-or-that.", and it later became known to me that you had after all said something about it to someone, I would be fully in my right to call you a liar. Are you calling Mark a liar?
