It took about 8 songs before the song that shall not be named was safely banished. Bell Bottom Blues was one of them : )

IIRC that's not 100% verified. According to our current understanding of genetics, there's a good chance a human-chimp pairing could produce a viable offspring. Humans and Bonobos are more genetically similar than lions are to tigers, which do rarely mate and produce ligers. For moral and ethical reasons however, no one will touch that experiment with a 10 foot pole.

* Still, there are rumors of some hidden experiments that float to the surface occasionally. Just look at Ken Ham.
No, it's not possible. Creatures can only breed with creatures that possess the same number of chromosomes. Humans have 46 chromosomes, while chimps have 48.

It's not the only factor, but it's the one that most easily disproves it.

I think horses and donkeys have different chromosome counts, but can mate to produce mules and hinnies.

Well... that totally goes against everything I learned in Biology class.

Generally you are right, but in close cases like Chimpanzees and Humans sometimes the difference is not much despite the different number of chromosomes. Anyway, Stalin tried to breed chimp-human hybrids to create an army, and failed.
