I just ran across something interesting. Yehudi Menuhin is quoted as saying that Constantin Brunner "was captured by the Nazis when Holland was overrun and sent to die in a concentration camp" (Unfinished Journey, p. 252). In actual fact, Brunner died in 1937, and it was his widow and step-daughter who died in Sobibor. The amazing thing about this is that Menuhin was a disciple of Brunner, serving on the Board of the International Constantin Brunner Institute. This is an example of how a myth starts.

Or atheists as recorded by Justin Martyr in First Apology. Imagine a believer of Apollo calling a Christian an atheist!
