Default Will the real Word of God please stand up.

As I was reading through a few of the debates in the Formal Depate forum on biblical inerrantcy and on the the existence of the Christian God, I began to wonder how one would know the Inerrant Inspired Word of God if one saw it.

So here's my question: Let's say a person with no prior religious training was put into a room. In the room was a Bible, the Koran, the Tao Te Ching, the Upanishads, the Book of Mormon, etc. This person is told that one of these books is the Word of God, and she is asked to pick which one. The criteria are it is inerrant, it is devinely inspired, and it contains all the truth one needs to live complete and moral life.

How should this person choose the real Word of God?

Well, honestly? A person without knowledge of religion?
This person would already have a set of moral values inside of them. Therefore if they were asked to chose one of these books I believe that once they read the 1st 5 books of the bi-BULL they would discard it.
The Koran is just plain boring, seemingly without human inspiration (at least the bible is poetic in its own way).
Tao Te Ching, obviously philosophy (chinese), but worth a second look. Divinely inspired, I don't think so.
Upanishads, isn't that where all that new age religion bullshit comes from? Good to read if you want to live after this life, though.
The book of Mormon, now that is unnerant, I can marry more than one wife, now that is inspiration of divine proportions!!!!!!!!!
But as a man I can not decide what "she" would choose.

Isaiah 13:15-18 If God can find you, he will “thrust you through,? smash your children “to pieces? before your eyes, and rape your wife.

This person should choose the Real Word of God when God Himself steps up and indicates which book is His, in terms that leave no doubt - for anyone.

Hell, I'm merely a fallible human, and I'd do at least that much for my creations, if I had any.

No trickery from me.

If God inspired the Bible, it should simply read, "I am" or less.

No characters.

No prophets.

No stories.

No explanations.

No rules...*

The sheer length of the Bible hints at its illegitimacy.

Is the Bible still being written?

Wow, yeah... I never thought of it that way... that MUST be inspired. You've made me a believer!

Absolutely. There really isn't anyway to decide the true word of god. I wonder if any inspired-word-of-god believers will ever admit that.

Jer 19:9 And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.

2 Kings 8:12 "You will set fire to their fortified places, kill their young men with the sword, dash their little children to the ground, and rip open their pregnant women."

Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up

BUT WAIT ! It says

EZ:20 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak in parables?

1 Cor. 3:2 ''Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom. We impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God.

14. Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of GOD to conceal a thing: but honor of kings is to search out a matter.

I think you should change the sentence "one of these books is the Word of God" to "one of these books may or may not be the Word of God." This would more accurately reflect reality. Essentially you have a "none of the above" option.

I choose "none of the above."
