				 | Multiply-attested miracles in history

Debates on the historical Jesus tend to get into the nitty-gritty. Even some atheists seem to miss what is to me the simple problem with such arguments: that it is far more likely that a few people fabricated the stories, got confused, or were tricked by an illusionist than it is that Jesus was actually born of a virgin, walked on water, rose from the dead, etc. This makes perfect sense even to Christians when you think about any other multiply-attested miracle in history. Most people don't believe in the miracle at Fatima, even though thousands attested to it, including many in print. The same goes for the Hindu milk miracle, the miracles of Vespasian, and other multiply-attested miracles. The recorded miracle of Caesar Augustus' rise from the dead is a common comparison, but I have only found one source for that. What are some other multiply-attested miracles that even believers do not trust, out of common sense? |

I think Zeus and Egyptian Gods used to do miracles, but miraculously they are all mythical, now, even Jesus. | |

In order to walk on water, Jesus would have had to displace his weight in water. I would expect that Jesus had very large feet. Nick |
