The movie ate it. I think it showed the buildup but faded to black before the dude was eviscerated. Atwood's book is better.
I also liked the part about how the main handmaiden and her boyfriend were in sight of the Canadian border in Vermont on the way out when they got nabbed. Before November 7th I was afraid that part was going to be real. |

Let's compare. He wasn't violating the letter of the law, but he was probably violating the spirit of the law. I think you, in your thread, weren't violating the letter of the law, but I think there's a fair chance you were violating the spirit of the law. The man in the article you first quoted takes pleasure in the results of his poking and prodding, and I think you take pleasure in the results of your poking and prodding. Didn't you expect that thread to eventually be closed from the first moment you opened it? ![]() What is this needless antagonism towards staff buying you, other than self gratification? |

Wow. I ran "sh /etc/rc" at the Unix prompt like it said. Then it ran a disk scan. It's finding some I/O errors and is now rebuilding something. Rhut rho. Now it says "volume cannot be repaired" and then powered off. That's no good! Well, at least I have something to go on. Thanks! It really looks like the hard drive I guess. |

You may also want to get a copy of Disk Warrior and rebuild the directory structure.
